This includes objects such as sculptures, furniture, architectural elements, etc.
Pieces can be made of solid wood, veneered, covered with marquetry, gessoed, painted, gilded, finished, or unfinished.
We partner with the best conservators in the SoCal area when an artifact to be treated is outside of our area of expertise.

Treatment consists of removing pollutants and the mineral deposits left by the water
After treatment, the water-damaged area can be assessed for discolorations
Large areas of gesso flaking with extensive losses. Stainings and presence of pollutants on the surface.

When the wood dried it retracted so much that it left pockets of air under the gesso.

Injection of conservation grade consolidants to stabilize the surface and prevent any further losses.

Badly adjusted previous repairs were done with non-reversible adhesives

The fee especially were extremely flaky

After consolidation, the losses were filled with traditional gesso and the color matched with Conservation paints
